Furnace & AC Tune-Ups in Tomball & Spring, TX
Book a heating tune-up in fall and a cooling tune-up in spring. A technician checks the system before the season it works hardest, so small problems get found on a calm day instead of the first cold night or the first hot week. We do tune-ups for homes in Tomball, Spring and the towns around them.

What a heating tune-up covers
A fall visit is about making sure the furnace lights, heats and shuts down the way it should. We look at the parts that most often cause a no-heat call, then run the system and watch it work.
- Filter and airflow
- Burners and flame sensor
- Ignition
- Safety controls
- Thermostat
- Electrical connections
Switching over from AC this month? Our fall AC-to-heat checklist covers what you can look at yourself first.
What a cooling tune-up covers
Around here the AC runs most of the year. A spring visit gets it ready before summer leans on it.
- Indoor and outdoor coil
- Condensate drain
- Capacitor and contactor
- Airflow
- Thermostat
More on why this matters in how maintenance helps your AC last.
When to book
Fall is for heat. Spring is for cooling. The best time for a furnace tune-up is before the first cold night, not after it. Once a front comes through, everyone turns the heat on at the same time.
For AC, aim for spring, before the long hot stretch starts.
One-time tune-up or Velocity Care?
You can book a single tune-up any time. If you'd rather not have to remember, Velocity Care keeps the visits on schedule twice a year: a cooling visit in spring and a heating visit in fall.
There are three plans. Comfort and Preferred are for homes. Commercial Care is for businesses. The Velocity Care page has the plan details.
If we find a problem
We'll show you what we found and explain it in plain words. You get your options before any work starts, and you decide what gets done. Our techs don't rely on commission, so the customer always comes first.
If the furnace already isn't heating, that's a repair call. See heating and furnace repair.
Tune-up FAQ
How often should I get my furnace and AC tuned up?
Once a year each. Get the heat tuned up in fall and the AC tuned up in spring, before each one has to work hard.
What's included in a furnace tune-up?
We check the filter and airflow, the burners and flame sensor, the ignition, the safety controls, the thermostat and the electrical connections. Then we run the furnace and watch it heat. If something needs attention, we tell you before doing any work.
Is a tune-up worth it on a newer system?
Yes. A newer system still collects dust, still has a drain that can clog, and still has parts that can come loose. A yearly visit catches small things while they're still small.
What's the difference between a one-time tune-up and a Velocity Care plan?
A one-time tune-up is a single visit. Velocity Care puts you on a schedule, with a cooling visit every spring and a heating visit every fall. Homes pick Comfort or Preferred, and businesses use Commercial Care.
Do you do tune-ups for businesses?
Yes, through Commercial Care. See our commercial HVAC page for the kind of equipment we work on.
