Safety first
If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm goes off, this is not an HVAC call yet. Get everyone out of the house. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility. Don't flip switches or try to find the source.
Once they've said it's safe, call us and we'll look at the furnace.
What counts as an HVAC emergency
These are worth a call right away, day or night, Monday through Saturday.
- No heat on a cold night, especially with older people, babies or anyone with health needs in the house
- No cooling in extreme heat
- Water leaking into a ceiling or onto a floor
- A burning or electrical smell from the system
- A breaker that trips again after you reset it once
What can wait until morning
Not every problem needs a tech at 2 a.m. These can usually wait for a normal visit:
- A minor new noise, as long as the system still heats or cools
- One room a little warmer or cooler than the rest
- A system that's still running and keeping the house comfortable
What to check before you call
A few quick checks can save you a call:
- Is the thermostat set to HEAT or COOL, and is the screen on? Try fresh batteries.
- Is the filter clogged? A very dirty filter can shut a system down.
- Is a breaker tripped? Reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call us.
Please leave gas parts, wiring and refrigerant alone. Those are jobs for a licensed technician.

Emergency HVAC FAQ
Are you open 24 hours?
Yes, 24 hours Monday through Saturday. We're closed Sunday. Call (832) 589-0813.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the house first. Then call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Don't flip switches or try to find the leak. Once the utility says it's safe, call us about the furnace.
Is no heat an emergency?
It can be. On a cold night, with older people, babies or anyone with health needs in the house, no heat is worth a call right away. On a mild night with the house holding temperature, it can usually wait until morning.
Is an AC leaking water an emergency?
If water is reaching a ceiling or floor, shut the system off at the thermostat and call us. A small drip in the pan with nothing getting wet can usually wait until morning.
Do you handle commercial HVAC emergencies?
Yes. We work on commercial rooftop units and split systems, and the same hours apply. See our commercial HVAC page for more.
How much is an emergency diagnostic?
