Replacing a 12-year-old Carrier rooftop unit with a Daikin 7.5-ton

On September 16 we replaced a 7.5-ton rooftop unit on a commercial building. The old unit was a Carrier 7.5-ton that had been running for more than 12 years.

We put in a new 3-phase Daikin 7.5-ton. It's the same size as the unit it replaced, so the building keeps the same cooling capacity it had before.

A unit that size doesn't go up a ladder. We used a crane to set the new unit on the roof.

Once it was in place, we started it up and checked it before we left the roof.
